Promotion
Promotion is a dining chair made of North American black walnut. The design is inspired by the end grain of wood, the surface marked by tree rings. Small end grain squares are joined in order to form a pattern similar to a chessboard. A customized mortise and tenon structure keeps the frame stable while the shape remains simple. CNC engraving is used in production, and the surface is finished with wood wax oil. Sections cut at different angles create soft light and shade effects. The chair suits restaurants, homes and lounges.
Promotion Chair by Yeak design was selected as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Promotion Chair received the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2023. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which celebrates outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
