Zazen
Zazen is a multifunctional chair designed for work and rest in public places such as offices and libraries. Zazen can be turned over to change its function. With the small-opening side up, Zazen serves as an ordinary chair for study and work. With the large-opening side up, Zazen becomes a wide sofa that offers a comfortable space for reading and meditation. Users can sit cross-legged on the sofa surface. Zazen is made of teak, a stable and wear-resistant wood, and measures 96 cm in length, 68 cm in width and 65 cm in height.
Zazen Multifunctional Chair by Bruce Tao has been recognized as an outstanding illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Zazen Multifunctional Chair was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize which rewards outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
