Aluminum
Aluminum is a bedside table designed to make storage simple and easy to reach. The table is fitted with a drawer and a recessed niche, so items can be put away and found even in the dark. An integrated light source in the top compartment is operated by touching the table top, and its inset position lights the surrounding space. The body is cut from aluminum with a water jet and bent on a press brake. The surface is sandblasted and anodized, and the sliders are 3D printed. The table measures 340 by 360 by 500 mm.
Aluminum Side Table by Ondřej Ryšavý was identified as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Aluminum Side Table earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which celebrates outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
