Penny Piggy Bank

Penny

Penny is a piggy bank designed to store coins. The shape of Penny resembles a broken piggy bank, an image often used to represent a financial crisis. Penny is made of twelve injection molded PVC parts that are held together by neodymium magnets. The parts can be taken apart by hand, or the bank can be thrown onto the floor, and then reassembled in 95040 different ways while keeping the same essence and function. The matte textured surface hides marks and scratches. Penny is intended as a symbol of resilience and of rebuilding after a hard fall.

Penny Piggy Bank by Dario Narvaez has been recognized as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Penny Piggy Bank earned the Iron A' Design Award in Giftware Design in 2022. The A' Giftware Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition that celebrates superior design of candles, figurines, picture frames, decorative plates, ornaments, souvenirs, personalized mugs, collectibles and more.
