Inspiring
Inspiring is an interactive candlestick designed for indoor and outdoor use. Two single candle holders are held on a U-shaped iron frame by small magnets, so each holder can be placed at any position along the frame. Users arrange the composition freely and change it at will. When the candles are not in use, the holders are stored inside the base, which protects the candles from evaporation and staining. The frame and the base are joined by friction and can be separated, so the candlestick packs into two compact pieces for camping. The base can also serve alone as a candle platform.
Inspiring Interactive Candlestick by Junqiang Lyu was identified as an exceptional illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Inspiring Interactive Candlestick was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that rewards exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
