Gunes
Gunes is a door handle designed for interior doors. The handle locks the door without a key. The user grasps the illuminated circle and turns it to the right or to the left. A red light shows the locked state, and a green light shows the unlocked state. The body is made of die cast aluminium with a brushed texture, and it can be coloured to match the interior. Circular lines spread from a single centre and refer to the turning action. The total width is 180 mm, and the illuminated circle has a diameter of 60 mm.
Gunes Door Handle by Elif Günes has been highlighted as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Gunes Door Handle won the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Accessories, Hardware and Materials Design in 2020.
